What is blogspot?
Blogspot
also called blogger, which is one of the reliable totally free platforms where
anyone can start or create a website without getting to pay for anything.
Blogger platform is actually owned by Google Company. Blogspot also offer free
domain in case at the point of starting your blog, you don’t have funds for
domain name, and then you can go for the free domain blogger is offering.
What is domain name?
A domain name is the address your blog site need. Anyone
trying to find your site must get to it through the address. Every website you
visit online has a unique domain name.
Now that you know few of the basic things, it is time we
start the process of creating a new blog. So just follow the steps below to get
it done.

How to create blog with blogger:
Step 1: create a new Google account.
Step 2: visit www.blogger.com after the page finish loading, click
SIGN IN and enter your newly created Google account details and hit the login
button.
Note: you can even use your old Google
account if you want to.
Step 3: now that you’ve successfully login, you’re
just a step away from having your first blog site. Click the link that sys
“CREATE BLOG” at the top left corner hand side on the next page after you sign
in.

Step 4: in this very level, a window will
pop up with an input field, asking for the title you ant as display. This title
will be display to the visitors that will come your website after you’ve done
typing in your preferred display title, click the next button below and move
over to the final level.
Step 5: this is the level blogspot will ask
you to provide a name for your website. Remember, this name or address can be
change anytime anywhere depending on what you want.
Now type in the name of your choice depending on what your
blog is all about. Any name you type in, Google will run a check to see if that
very name has not be taken by another user. If it is still free, you will see
the reply and all you have to do is to click the “SAVE” button below and your
new website will go live.
Anyone around the world can easily access it now. In my case,
I used example2028.blogspot.com as example but you can choose yours. Make sure
the address tell what your website is all about.

How to customize
blogger website:
We’ve all the necessary customization tabs needed at the left
hand side, but we’ll start with the template/them. The template is what gives
your website the beautiful look that will attract visitors.
Publish tab:
This is the first blogger menu tab you get to see before
every other tab. This very tab is what gives to access to post a new
article/post. Once you click on it, you’ll get to see where you can type in
your post title and the content. At the right hand side of the post publish
page you’ll see other settings like;

Post
date
All are self explanatory, but we will throw more light on
them.
Post category: this feature is what enables the
publisher to add the post to one or more groups of sub-niche.
Post description: this function is strictly for search
engines. The publisher uses this feature to tell search what the post is all
about.
Post link: this is the individual web address
that visitors can use in finding a particular blog post. It is customizable
depending what the publisher what.
Post date: this is the date the post was established.
The publisher can set it to any date of his/her choice.
Blogger posts tab:
This tab takes you to the entire blog posts you have in your
blog site. You’ll also get to see the views each blog post have and the amount
of comments.
Blogger statistics tab:
The statistics tab is where the publisher can find which post
is leading in views and which country is viewing your articles. In general,
with statistics you will get to know everything about your site traffic.
Blogger comments tab:
The comments section shows all the comments your blog site
has.

Blogger earnings tab:
This very tab link your blog up with Google AdSense if you
already have AdSense account, but if you don’t have Google AdSense account, you
see a button asking you to create one. Google AdSense is the Ad-network that
your website will generate income from.
Don’t rush, but just keep working on your blog to get good
traffic and unique content.
Blogger pages tab:
There is different between posts and pages. Posts are the
articles you write and post in your site, while pages are individually create
to serve just one purpose.
Blogger layout tab:
Layout tab is where you can customize your site look. You can
set how many blog pot you want to display and you will still set the site
menu/navigation bar using the layout feature.
Blogger template tab:
To change the theme to another one, click theme at left hand
menu list, and you will be taking where you can choose from blogger free
templates or you can go for paid ones.
Once the blogger theme page finished loading, select any of
the free templates you want and below it you will get to see the “APPLY”
button, click it to activate.
Blogger settings tab:
65% of the
settings you need to carry out are in the settings tab. So we’ll discuss one
after the other the things can achieve inside the settings tab.
With the
settings tab, you can get to change your site address with a custom one. Also
to set the site to search engines are there.
